Service Technician

We are seeking a hands‑on Service Technician to support installation, maintenance, and upgrades of DC power systems across telecom, UPS, and utility environments. This is a field‑based role with consistent travel and exposure to critical infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and maintain battery systems, rectifiers, and DC power plants
  • (telecom, data center, UPS, or utility)
• Perform power plant upgrades and replacements
• Work with distribution equipment (PBDs, BDFBs, BDCBBs), inverters, and converters
• Run and terminate power cable (lug crimping, lacing, routing)
• Take voltage and specific gravity readings
• Support AC power systems (120V single‑phase to 480V three‑phase)
• Ensure safe, high‑quality work at customer sites

Minimum Qualifications

• Basic understanding of lead‑acid battery systems
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Capable of reading and interpreting technical drawings and manuals
• Strong mechanical aptitude, math skills, and written communication skills
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening (including random testing, per customer requirements)
• Must obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Qualification Card

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 50 lbs independently (heavier with assistance)
• Work in tight spaces, climb ladders, and use hand/power tools
• Perform physically demanding field work safel
• Frequent travel to various job sites and customer locations
• Work performed in diverse environments, including:
  • Remote and outdoor locations
  • Industrial facilities
  • Physically demanding and variable conditions

Schedule

• 1st Shift: Typically 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
  (Hours may vary based on travel and customer needs)
• Overtime, night work, and occasional weekends required

Compensation

• $23.50 - $29.00/hour, based on experience
