Regional CDL-A Truck Driver

Weekly earnings: $1,350–$1,500 average. Hiring area: Memphis, TN (38103). Freight: No-touch regional dry van. Home schedule: 12 days out with a 48-hour reset every other weekend.

Reliable no-touch freight and route familiarity give Memphis-area CDL-A truck drivers a consistent regional position with longer average hauls and scheduled time at home. Drivers run multi-state dry van freight with most loads requiring no freight handling. Average trips of 700–750 miles help build productive weeks while a repeating 12-day schedule provides a clear home-time routine.

Regional Driving Details

This fleet operates across the Southeast and neighboring states with established freight lanes connecting regular customer locations. Instead of depending on short runs to build mileage, drivers average 700–750 miles per haul.

The majority of freight is drop-and-hook. Some customer locations require live unloading, but the freight remains no-touch for the driver. Load assignments are coordinated to help maintain steady movement throughout the regional network.

12-Day Work Cycle

Drivers spend 12 days on the road before returning home for a full 48-hour reset every other weekend. This repeating schedule provides a defined home-time pattern while still allowing enough time on the road to maintain consistent regional mileage.

When safe parking is available, the assigned tractor can be taken home during the reset. Approved parking locations may also be used when needed.

Pay Package

Average weekly earnings range from $1,350–$1,500 depending on miles and experience. Detention pay is provided for qualifying delays.

After 6 months, eligible drivers have access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and a 401(k) retirement plan.

Freightliner & Kenworth Equipment

Drivers operate 2021 or newer Freightliner and Kenworth tractors with automatic transmissions. Trucks are equipped with APUs, inverters, refrigerator space, and TV and microwave mounts to provide additional convenience while away from home.

Equipment receives scheduled preventive maintenance to help reduce avoidable downtime and keep trucks ready for the next run.

Rider, Pet & Driver Support

Rider and pet programs are available for approved drivers. Dispatch support is available for freight and routing needs, while maintenance teams assist with equipment concerns that arise during a trip.

Qualifications

Valid Class A CDL

Minimum 3 months of recent tractor-trailer driving experience

Acceptable driving and safety record

Ability to meet DOT qualification and company safety requirements
