Pay Rate: $100 - $120/hr

Job Summary The Full Stack Developer plays a key role within the Wealth & Distribution Architecture team , driving the design and delivery of enterprise-grade applications that enable modern, scalable business solutions. The developer will collaborate closely with peers across technology, architecture, and business teams to build high-performing applications for wealth and distribution systems in a leading financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead design and development of full-stack applications using React , Node.js , and modern JavaScript frameworks.

Architect scalable and secure backend services and APIs following microservices best practices.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams—product managers, designers, and developers— to deliver quality software solutions.

Optimize application performance for availability, reliability, and scalability .

Mentor junior developers and contribute to code reviews, best practices, and technical standards.

Participate in architecture governance activities including Solution Architecture Guild and Design Roundtables .

Create and contribute to architectural artifacts such as roadmaps, design decisions, and strategy documents.

Research emerging technologies, evaluate tools, and lead proofs of concept (POC).

Support production transition and ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and audit standards.

Required Experience

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

8+ years of software development experience , preferably within financial services.

Advanced proficiency in React.js , Node.js , and JavaScript (ES6+) .

Expertise with Redux , Express.js , TypeScript , and CI/CD pipelines.

Strong experience with RESTful APIs , microservices architecture , and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Skilled in security best practices for handling financial data.

2+ years of experience with sales & distribution systems or incentive management solutions.

Excellent communication, documentation, and leadership skills.

Nice-to-Have Experience

Experience with Kafka , RabbitMQ , or event-driven systems.

Exposure to DevOps practices and infrastructure as code ( Terraform , Ansible ).

Familiarity with PCI-DSS , GDPR , or SOX frameworks.

Experience with database design, ETL, and data modeling .

Prior work with financial data integrations or vendor/SaaS platforms.

Required Skills

Full-stack JavaScript development (React/Node.js)

Cloud architecture and deployment (AWS preferred)

Secure API design and integration

Preferred Skills

Event-driven architecture (Kafka or similar)

CI/CD pipeline development

Financial or insurance domain knowledge

Shift / Hours Standard business hours (Monday-Friday, onsite in Springfield, MA)
