IT TechnicianSnell & Wilmer, one of the largest law firms in the Western United States, is seeking an IT Technician in our Denver office. Your responsibilities include day-to-day work in supporting laptops/desktop computers, printers, audio visual and peripheral equipment. Works closely with the Solution Center team, the local User Experience Analyst and escalation level teams to ensure the proper function of all hardware, software, and network connectivity. Must proactively troubleshoot and solve problems for end users. This individual must possess in-depth knowledge of computer hardware, software, operating systems, printers, peripherals, and network connectivity.You will report directly to the IT Technician Manager and work with IT Management, software development/procurement and user groups. You must take initiative and be proactive in completing trouble tickets, assignments, and long-term projects.The hours for this position are from Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the office.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:Troubleshoot and repair computers in a networked environmentConfigure and support:HardwareLaptopsDesktopsMobile DevicesPrintersPeripheralsVoIP phonesAudio Visual systemsCloud based video conference systemsImaging and placement of computers, printers, and related equipmentMaintain a current inventory of computer equipment and suppliesConfigure PDAs and laptops for connection to firm systemsInstall and configure softwareProvide onsite support for the Solution Center, Infrastructure, Systems, and Security teamsUtilize the ticketing system for all issuesDevelop and document processes and procedures for the desktop/technical support groupServe as primary backup to the department's audio/visual groupConduct new hire software training as neededTravel to other offices as neededOther projects as assignedExperience and Qualifications:2 to 3 years' experience with computer supportAdvanced expertise/knowledge regarding troubleshooting of complex problems with Microsoft and other third-party applicationsA+ Certified preferred, but not requiredCollege degree or technical school certification a plus, but not requiredStrong technical knowledge of PC/laptop hardware, Windows, and Apple iOSWorking knowledge of basic network concepts (such as TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, wireless, VPN and IP telephony)In-depth knowledge and experience supporting desktop and laptop computers, local and networked printers, PDA devices, desktop scanners and other peripheral devicesMust be able to troubleshoot network and wireless connectivity, and possess a solid understanding of network components, infrastructure, and Active Directory setupExceptional customer service skillsAbility to manage multiple projects, and appropriately prioritize tasksAble to lift, carry, and move light-to-medium weights of up to 45 lbs.Able to work independently and part of a teamStrong verbal and written communication skillsMaintain a high level of these professional standards: communication, organization, cooperation, calmly dealing with high-pressure situationsApplications accepted on an ongoing basis.The pay range for this position is $26.44 to $31.25 per hour depending on years of experience.Snell & Wilmer offers a competitive performance-based compensation and a generous benefits package starting on your first day.
