Powered by GlobeNewswire, one of the largest and most trusted newswire distribution networks for over 30 years, we empower communicators to inform a better world.Notified is an affiliate of Equiniti Group Limited (EQ), a fintech that connects the future of capital, communications, and governance — building trust and confidence in every market we serve.This role will be based in our Woburn, MA office, located at 130 New Boston Street and offers in-person collaboration and flexibility to work from home.What Part You Will Play in Our GrowthDatabase Developing Functions - Leading the creation, design, development and implementation of innovative database or backend solutions for assigned area of responsibility in accordance to departmental and Company guidelines and timeframesCoordinate with other internal departments to ensure customer requests integrate and deploy as scheduledEnsure the quick implementation of mass data change requests and complex report/data extraction requests making sure the impact on existing applications is adequately analyzed and evaluatedLead the design and development of test codes for data conversionsEnter codes to create development database, reviewing application design specifications and database access methods to prevent inefficient coding techniquesResolve application support tickets escalated to employee's level ensuring appropriate resolution of issues in a timely mannerWrite and assist departmental staff with technical system programs to provide specialized database accessData Support - Ensure data is protected according to departmental policies and procedures and is retrievable in a timely manner, auditing back up rotation to ensure adherence to established standardsEstablish periodic schedules to test validity of backups and ability to perform restoresEstablish query standards for accessing databases of different sizes, selecting and upgrading recommended attributesProvide tuning and performance of the database environment by monitoring optimum values for database parametersDevelop scripts, documentation, and procedures for database administration, testing, and productionProblem Resolution - Proactively oversee the activities involved in quality resolution of problems related to area of responsibilityRespond with a sense of urgency to problems escalated to employee's levelEscalate to supervisor any situation outside the employee's control that could adversely impact the services being providedProvide analysis and feedback to management staff and appropriate departments regarding recurring problems, recommending improvements aimed at reducing future occurrences of problemsParticipate in creating, administering, and continuously updating procedures for resolution of all related issuesRequired Knowledge and SkillsEducation Bachelor's degree with major course work in computer science, MIS, or a related field is required. Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements ExperienceExperience Core Database Administration Knowledge: Performance tuning, data modeling and architecture, security and compliance, HA/DR, Cloud and infrastructure, observabilityProficient in at least one RDBMS (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle)Experience with Cloud-native DB features, serverless SQL, auto-scaling considerationsSQL stored procedures and triggersRelation database modeling for OLPTDatabase user management and securityDatabase installation, configuration, connectivity, monitoring and fine tuningT-SQL / PL/SQL / PL/pgSQL proficiency, ability to script deploymentsVersion control in Git workflow, all DB changes in source controlOur salary range for this role is $135,000 – $150,000 and is commensurate with experience, skills and location.EQ is recognized as a Top Employer in US, UK and India!
