Controller

Job Description

Controller Position

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Controller to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $120,000 to $130,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all core accounting functions, including general ledger activity, receivables, payables, payroll support, and fixed asset tracking.
  • Prepare and review budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to support business operations.
  • Manage year end processes by coordinating financial statement preparation and supporting external tax reporting requirements.
  • Supervise accounting staff and provide guidance while working closely with other departments.
  • Monitor cash activity, banking relationships, and internal processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's or advanced degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience in a professional environment.
  • Strong understanding of accounting standards and financial reporting practices.
  • Previous experience working with accounting systems and familiarity with enterprise tools.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.

Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail with consistent follow through on tasks and responsibilities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills when working with teams and leadership.
  • Ability to manage priorities and maintain accuracy under pressure.
  • Previous experience supervising staff and supporting team development.
  • Reliability and adaptability with a proactive approach to problem solving.
