The Opportunity

Moody Bible Institute (MBI) is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Construction Project Manager to lead the planning, design, and delivery of capital improvement, renovation, and construction projects across campus. Reporting to the Director of Planning and Construction, the Construction Project Manager is responsible for managing projects throughout the entire lifecycle, including planning, budgeting, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project closeout. This role serves as the primary point of coordination among internal stakeholders and external project partners to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with institutional objectives. The successful candidate will bring strong project leadership, financial stewardship, and communication skills, along with a commitment to delivering high-quality facilities that support Moody's educational mission.

What Youll Do

Project Planning & Stakeholder Engagement

Build collaborative partnerships with internal departments, leadership teams, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders.

Lead project planning efforts and facilitate approval processes from project inception through completion.

Ensure projects align with institutional priorities, campus planning initiatives, and operational requirements.

Design & Pre-Construction Management

Coordinate feasibility studies, test-fit analyses, constructability reviews, and campus impact assessments.

Partner with architects, engineers, and consultants to develop project solutions that meet functional, operational, budgetary, and code requirements.

Review design documents for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with project objectives.

Budget & Financial Management

Develop project budgets, cost estimates, and cash flow projections.

Monitor project expenditures and manage financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.

Lead value engineering efforts and identify opportunities to maximize project value while maintaining scope and quality expectations.

Procurement & Contract Administration

Manage bidding, vendor selection, contract administration, and purchasing activities in accordance with organizational policies.

Coordinate the distribution and review of bid documents and project proposals.

Identify and resolve scope gaps, contract issues, and procurement challenges.

Construction Management

Oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, applicable codes, and safety standards.

Coordinate project meetings, monitor contractor performance, and address project risks and challenges proactively.

Maintain project momentum by managing schedules, milestones, and deliverables.

Communication & Reporting

Provide regular updates to leadership and stakeholders regarding project status, schedules, budgets, risks, and milestones. Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and records. Facilitate effective communication among all project participants.
