Job Description

You should possess humility and decisiveness: humility to ask and learn from everyone, and decisiveness to make a call when sometimes you don't have all the information you need.ResponsibilitiesAble to work independently on stations or large sections with minimal oversight to conceptualize, design, and detail mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks for automation cells, robotic end effectorsWork with vendors to select and size all commercial components for mechanical designs such as pneumatics, motors, gearboxes, and linear motion devicesUse calculations and FEA analysis on all appropriate parts and assemblies to ensureUnderstand and apply all necessary Tesla standards to ensure any solutions comply and provide calculations and justifications for decisionsCreate complete and clean drawing packages for all designs with BOM and all appropriate assembly informationParticipate in assembly and debug of systems on our production floor and learn firsthand what it takes to build an automation system and all the nuances of good machine designTravel with the machine to the various Giga factories across the US to install and commission your machines.
