Materials Management Associate

Job Summary Full‑time Materials Management Associate position in Kailua, HI. 8‑hour evening shifts. Responsible for maintaining and managing inventory of medical supplies and equipment, ensuring availability for patient care and hospital operations.

Responsibilities Receives and inspects deliveries, organizes and labels inventory, maintains accurate records of stock levels.

Monitors expiration dates, ensures proper rotation of supplies, and restocks as needed.

Performs routine inventory checks, identifies low stock items, and reorders promptly.

Coordinates with department heads to understand inventory requirements.

Ensures received items meet quality and safety standards; verifies proper storage and labeling.

Maintains accurate records of inventory transactions, generates reports, and assists with data entry into the materials management software.

Communicates with suppliers to place orders, track deliveries, and resolve issues.

Collaborates with the disaster preparedness team to ensure availability of essential supplies for emergencies.

Maintains contingency stock of critical items for unexpected situations.

Ensures compliance with regulations, infection control protocols, and safety measures for hazardous materials.

Supports product recall requirements to protect patient safety.

Trains hospital staff on inventory management practices and stays updated on industry best practices.

Performs other job‑related duties as assigned.

Qualifications High School Education/GED required.

Associate’s or Technical Degree preferred.

Experience in materials management, inventory control, or a related field, preferably in a healthcare setting.

Requirements All associates must receive required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable, with medical and religious exemptions available.

Compensation Estimated base pay: $19.57 to $25.53 per hour. Additional compensation (differentials, shift incentives, bonuses) may be available. Base pay is only part of the total rewards package.
