Job Description

Administrative Assistant

Center for Human Development (CHD), is growing! We are currently looking for a full-time Administrative Assistant to bring their administrative experience to our newest outpatient clinical site, the CHD Griswold Center. The Griswold Center will work closely with our Community Behavioral Health Center (CBHC) serving the Palmer, MA area and throughout the Quaboag Hills region of Hampshire, Hampden, and Worcester counties.

Your role as an Administrative Assistant:

The Administrative Assistant serves as a resource to the program as a whole. In this role, your duties would include, but are not limited to, reception, answering telephones, supply management and inventory (including shopping for the program), coding and filing bills, managing checkbook and petty cash account, typing, filing, record keeping, documentation, word processing, data entry, and report writing. The Administrative Assistant is also responsible for running miscellaneous errands, data collection and will assist with quality assurance related to both the funding source and licensing requirements. The ideal candidate will demonstrate good verbal and written communication abilities, strong computer skills, be detailoriented, flexible and able to work independently and as a team member.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Additional administrative training or education is a plus
  • Experience in an office environment preferred
  • Excellent Communication skills required, written and verbal
  • Strong computer skills required
  • Must pass background screening process including CORI and driving record check with access to your own reliable transportation.

  • Pleasant and welcoming phone manner
  • Able to maintain professional relationships with co-workers, client/clients' families, outside agencies and insurance carriers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Schedule Detail: This is a full-time role, 40 hours a week. Monday - Friday, with availability for some evening hours and Saturdays.

Pay rate is $20.00-$24.00/hr. combined with a phenomenal benefit package that includes Dental, Health and Life insurance. Paid time off, earned vacation time and paid holidays just to name a few.
