Application Architect

Genesis10 is currently seeking an AI/ML Engineer for a hybrid position (3 days per week onsite) with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC or Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

We are seeking an experienced AI/ML Engineer to design, develop, deploy, and support scalable AI and Machine Learning solutions that drive business value. The ideal candidate will be a hands‑on AI engineer with strong software development skills and experience in Machine Learning, Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and MLOps, with the ability to deliver production‑ready AI applications.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and deploy ML models for prediction, recommendation, forecasting, and anomaly detection

Develop Generative AI solutions using LLMs and implement RAG architectures leveraging vector databases and enterprise knowledge sources

Build and maintain MLOps pipelines for model training, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement

Develop APIs and microservices to integrate AI capabilities into enterprise applications

Collaborate with business, data, and engineering teams to translate requirements into AI-driven solutions

Ensure compliance with security, governance, responsible AI, and model risk management standards

Mentor team members and contribute to AI/ML best practices

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field

10+ years of experience in AI/ML, Data Science, or Software Engineering

Strong programming skills in Python and experience with SQL

Hands‑on experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, and production ML deployments

Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistics, data processing, and software development best practices

Desired skills

Master's degree in a related field

Experience with Generative AI, LLMs (GPT, Llama, Claude), Prompt Engineering, and RAG

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP

Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift, CI/CD, and MLOps platforms

Experience with vector databases (e.g., Redis Vector DB), large-scale data processing (e.g., Spark), and other data technologies (e.g., Oracle, MongoDB)

Experience in regulated industries such as financial services

Knowledge of Java or JavaScript

Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Git and Terraform
