Our client, based in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking a Security Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.Have you got the right qualifications and skills for this job Find out below, and hit apply to be considered.This role is onsite 4 days a week, one day remoteThis is not open to 3rd party vendors/Subvendors etcPosition includes Salary, Bonus, Medical, Dental, Vision, Pension, Employee stock options, 401K+ Match)Day to Day:This role supports both project-driven security initiatives and day-to-day security operations, playing a hands-on role in protecting enterprise systems, data, and users.The Security Engineer will collaborate closely with IT and security teams to monitor threats, respond to incidents, and support continuous improvements to the organization's security posture.Required Experience & QualificationsStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Defender and related Microsoft security toolsFamiliarity with threat detection, analysis, and remediation using Microsoft-native platformsHands-on experience with an EDR platform (e.g., SentinelOne or similar enterprise tools)Experience supporting email security and data protection solutions in an enterprise environmentAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational security environmentAny Azure cloud security experience would be nice to have.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform threat investigation and remediation using Microsoft-native security tools (MS Defender and MS Sentinel)Support a mix of security projects and xhyhwjd operational ticket-based work within the security teamUse ServiceDesk to track security incidents, requests, and tasksAssist with data protection and data loss prevention (DLP) initiatives using enterprise security platformsMonitor, investigate, and respond to security events using an Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) platformSupport email security and day-to-day threat protection effortsCollaborate with team members to enhance security processes, tooling, and response capabilities
