Cloud Operations Engineer

Job Description

To enhance the reliability and performance of a multi-product SaaS platform, the full-time Cloud Operations Engineer III will manage observability practices, automation initiatives, and security controls while working remotely. Key Responsibilities Own the Datadog platform, including instrumentation standards, dashboards, and alerting for all products and environments Develop automation scripts in PowerShell, Python, and Bash to eliminate manual processes and enhance operational efficiency Implement security controls and maintain documentation while providing mentorship to junior engineers on best practices Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience 5-7 years of experience in cloud operations, site reliability, or DevOps engineering for production SaaS systems Hands-on experience with Datadog, including APM, distributed tracing, and dashboard creation Strong scripting and automation skills in PowerShell, with experience in infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipeline authoring Proven incident response experience in a customer-facing production environment
