Machine Operator

Job Description

Production Associate

The Production Associate is responsible for the safe manufacturing of metal E Rings. This role involves utilizing standard measuring devices and gauges, as well as the ability to safely use all manufacturing equipment involved in the process.

Responsibilities

  • Manufacture metal E-Rings according to documentation and procedures.
  • Safely operate Planish Press, Belt Sander, Roll Form Machines, Polish Equipment, and Hydraulic Presses to manufacture completed parts.
  • Read and interpret work instructions.
  • Communicate with others on work order status and completion of work.
  • Perform assembly and inspection.

Essential Skills

  • Experience as a Machine Operator and Assembler.
  • Proficiency in inspection and mechanical inclination.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to read and write English.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds.
  • Capability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

E Ring Associates collaborate with other Associates, Manufacturing Leads, and Manufacturing Support. The position requires frequent standing, walking, and the use of hands to operate machines and measuring devices. The role demands regular attendance, professionalism, and the ability to follow directions. Shifts available include 1st shift (7AM-3:30PM, M-F), 2nd shift (3PM-12AM, M-Th and 3PM-7PM Friday), and 3rd shift (11PM-7AM, Sun-Thurs).

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Haven, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
