CDL A Driver

As a Class A CDL Driver at United Rentals, the role involves assisting with Trench Safety needs of customers by delivering equipment safely, timely, and efficiently. The driver serves as a company ambassador, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that all equipment is operated and maintained in compliance with DOT regulations. Because the company is local, the driver returns home each night.

What you’ll do

• Drop off and pick up equipment for customers
• Operate construction equipment such as semi‑trucks, trailers ("low boys"), and other DOT‑regulated vehicles
• Maintain driver logs and complete pre‑trip inspections
• Suggest additional equipment and supplies customers may need
• Operate boom trucks and cranes in accordance with manufacturer specifications
• Adhere to all safety requirements, including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL with an acceptable driving record
• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 2 years of DOT‑regulated commercial driving experience
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs frequently
• Basic knowledge of construction equipment and safe driving procedures
• Strong focus on safety and meticulous attention to detail

This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals’ policies and procedures.

Compensation Range

$28.35 – $42.55
