Seeking a full-time remote Distributed Systems Engineer to build scalable, data-driven services that enhance customer value and support internal initiatives, focusing on real-time applications and data infrastructure.
Key responsibilities:
Develop large-scale, real-time services and applications utilizing extensive datasets for internal APIs and external applications
Productionize prototypes into reliable tools, services, or platform capabilities while maintaining ongoing system performance
Collaborate with engineering and product teams to design and implement effective solutions, including data pipelines and messaging systems
Required qualifications:
5+ years of software engineering experience in building distributed systems
Proficiency in object-oriented programming, particularly in Go
Experience with cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
Familiarity with message queue technologies like AWS Kinesis, Google Pub/Sub, or Kafka
Understanding of core distributed systems concepts including scalability and fault tolerance
