Java DeveloperOur client, a water technology provider, is seeking a Java Developer for a 6 month contract opportunity located in Morrisville, NC. This role is hybrid, with Tuesday-Thursday onsite.Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and motivated Java Developer to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, and database technologies (SQL and/or NoSQL). You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and efficient backend systems that support our applications.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain Java-based backend services and APIs using Spring BootWrite clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices, in accord with deadlinesDevelop and optimize database queries; work with SQL and/or NoSQL databasesParticipate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharingDebug and resolve application issues, performance bottlenecks, and bugsImplement security and data protection measures in compliance with best practicesAbility to interact and work with customers remotely and in person as necessaryCollaborate with clients or internal teams to understand and resolve support tickets and incidentsResponsible for timely documentation of customer interactions and workflowComply with and support Agile environmentRequired Skills & QualificationsStrong proficiency in Java 11 and 17Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and the broader Spring ecosystem (Spring Data, Spring Security, etc.)Solid understanding of relational databases Microsoft SQL Server and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis)Experience with RESTful API development.Familiarity with version control systems such as GitUnderstanding of object-oriented design, design patterns, and software development principlesAbility to work independently and in a team environmentHibernate / JPA experienceExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to diagnose application issues and provide technical supportPreferred QualificationsProficient in Java and Spring BootExperience with cloud platforms such as AWSExperience with CI/CD pipelines and build tools (e.g., Jenkins, Maven, Gradle)Experience working in Agile/Scrum environmentsJMS/Messaging, XML, REST/SOAPPay Rate- $59.97- $62.11/hour
