DevOps Engineer

DevOps EngineerApex Systems has a DevOps Engineer role who will create CI/CD solutions utilizing automation in alignment with agile practices to build environments. The DevOps Engineer creates and delivers CI/CD solutions that meet varying end-user/customer demands while maintaining strict security and availability standards; and create CI/CD solutions realizing software and infrastructure deployment automation into highly regulated and controlled environments.• Has 3+ years of experience as a Software Developer or DevOps & Build Release Engineer with an understanding of Business-Driven software integration and delivery approach.• Is experienced in application life cycle management which includes compilation, packaging, and release management from one environment to other environments and deploying to servers leveraging tools like Git, Maven, Nexus, BitBucket, and other CICD tools.• Understands principles and best practices of Software Configuration Management in Agile methodologies.• Has familiarity with Linux, Database and Application servers administration in a global production environment.• Familiar with Chef and Ansible configuration management framework technologies.• Working knowledge & experience of various cloud technologies (AWS and/or Azure).• Experienced in using Jenkins CI/CD tool for End-to-End application build and deploy automation.• Hands on experience building software application leveraging programming languages: Java/J2EE, Groovy, Python, Shell, Bash, Terraform and JavaScript.• Has expertise in trouble-shooting problems generated while building, deploying and in production support.• Demonstrates good interactions with developers, managers, and team members to coordinate job tasks and strong commitment to work.• Has documented daily meetings, build reports, release notes and many other day-to-day documentation and status reports.• Possesses excellent communicative and interpersonal skills with ability to work efficiently in both independent and teamwork environments.• Has earned a bachelors degree in technical discipline or related field.
