Devops Engineer

Security Clearance Requires an active or re‑fillable TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance. Job Overview GliaCell is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to support a U.S. Government customer on a full‑time subcontract. The role focuses on sustaining critical mission‑related software and systems. Responsibilities

Support platform architectural design, deployment, and debugging throughout the development life cycle. Build and maintain a release pipeline for fast, safe delivery of critical software to production. Develop and maintain version control and configuration management practices using Git, including branching and merging strategies. Serve as a technical lead for an Agile team and actively participate in all Agile ceremonies (planning, grooming, demos, retrospectives). Automate release deployments across development, test, staging, quality assurance, and production using scripting languages and automation toolkits.

Key Requirements

Active or re‑fillable TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or Computer Science (or related field) and a minimum of 10 years of related experience. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required Skills

Hands‑on experience with AWS ECS, EKS and DOD‑specific implementations. Experience with Kafka, Java, NiFi.

Desired Skills

Fluent with Git. Strong knowledge of Linux (RHEL, RHCS/RHCE, CentOS). Experience with Windows system administration, monitoring, instrumentation, resilience, and performance. 10+ years in an Agile development environment. Experience integrating Jenkins/Bamboo, Docker, and Kubernetes for automated deployment. Experience with caching technologies (Memcache, Active MQ, Redis, APC). Experience with MySQL clusters, replication, tuning and Elasticsearch (Kibana). Knowledge of security practices, networking protocols, firewalls, PCI compliance, etc.

Location and Salary Location: Columbia, MD Salary Range: $170,000 to $260,000, plus potential for sign‑on bonus and discretionary bonuses. Benefits
