API Lead Java Developer

Technical Delivery LeadBachelor's degree in CS or 5-7 years of software development experience, including 1 year in a dev focused leadership role. 5+ years of Java design and development experience * Java frameworks like Spring (Core, Cloud, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, etc.). Experience delivering, configuring, troubleshooting API product or platforms. Significant hands-on training and work experience in building & deploying application on a cloud platform like AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.Local to Houston and willing to come on-site 3-days a week. Knowledge and experience with microservices & Service Oriented Architecture Methods and implementation technologies. Fluency in DevOps, including continuous integration, continuous deployment / delivery, configuration and containerization, infrastructure as a code, and monitoring.Job Description: A client of Insight Global's is looking for a Technical Delivery Lead to join the Co-enterprise service application team who will be working alongside two other technical leads. This person will be integrating, troubleshooting and configuring across all API applications and data domains within the company. Domains can consist of customer, product, finance and retail as a whole. All applications are on an AWS platform working in java frameworks like spring (Core, Cloud, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, etc.). The ideal candidate will come from a strong back end development background looking to move into a leadership role. Having the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and off-shore development teams is a must.
