Highland Homes is currently accepting resumes for a Full-Stack Developer position. The Full-Stack Developer is responsible for developing and maintaining customer-centric websites and applications that provide an exceptional customer experience. The Developer will be proficient at managing multiple projects simultaneously and effectively prioritizing and multi-tasking between immediate priorities and long-term objectives. Primary responsibilities include maintaining and improving functional aspects of the company’s websites and digital applications, including front-end applications, back-end integrations, database design and optimization, XML feeds and more. This is a Hybrid (onsite and remote) role .

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Contribute to the design, development and maintenance of front-end solutions, back-end services, and databases powering multiple customer-facing websites and applications

Consistently create well-designed, tested, quality code using best practices

Contribute to continual improvement by suggesting enhancements for functionality, architecture and user experience

Communicate with project teams to update on progress/status

Deliver solutions in a timely manner

Provide support and troubleshooting assistance for websites and apps developed by the team

Set & follow corporate standards for development practices

Work cohesively with other team members, both technical and non-technical

Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent industry experience (7+ years with high school diploma) required

3+ years of full-stack development in a PHP / LAMP environment (back-end, front-end and some server management) required

3+ years experience with database development using MySQL or similar required

1+ years experience developing with Vue.js or other front-end framework (Angular, React, etc.) required

Expertise in source control, code review and repository management with git or similar required

Strong understanding of RESTful APIs required

Laravel experience preferred

XML experience preferred

Good analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to function well in a self-directed, team-oriented environment

Comfortable managing multiple tasks and prioritizing effectively

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
