Java Developer

Senior Java/J2EE Developer11-month contract opportunity Hybrid 3 days onsite Seeking a Senior Java/J2EE Developer to build and support scalable enterprise applications in a global Agile environment. Key Responsibilities:Partner with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and global IT teams to deliver projects.Design and develop stable, scalable server-side applications aligned with enterprise architecture standards.Provide hands-on development, testing, and code coverage.Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, grooming, and stand-ups.Estimate, prioritize, and coordinate technical requirements.Apply modern development, testing, and DevOps best practices.Required Technical Skills:Strong Core Java, J2EE, Spring, and Hibernate/ORM experience.Enterprise server-side application development.REST/SOAP Web Services, XML, XPath, XSLT, JSON.Apache Tomcat or similar web server experience.Strong SQL/database skills; Sybase or DB2 preferred.JUnit and experience with profiling tools such as JProfiler/JProbe.Strong understanding of Design Patterns and Test-Driven Development (TDD).Unix/Linux development experience.Exposure to Angular, JavaScript, or React.Experience with JIRA/ALM tools, Agile methodologies, and DevOps.Exposure to AI tools and models.Domain Experience:Financial markets, banking products, or wealth management preferred.Ideal Candidate: A strong hands-on Java engineer with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and experience working in fast-paced global Agile environments.
