Lab Technician

Role Overview

Laboratory Technician supports daily operations of a Microbial Repository laboratory by executing routine and non-routine technical tasks under scientist supervision.

Ensure accurate sample handling, storage, retrieval, and distribution while maintaining strict aseptic and organizational standards.

Contribute to cross-functional laboratory activities during fluctuating workloads to maintain operational continuity and efficiency.

Responsibilities

Perform manual liquid transfers and operate automated liquid handling systems for sample processing.

Store, retrieve, and manage biological samples from freezers, shakers, and other controlled storage units.

Pick and prepare samples for internal or external customer delivery with high accuracy.

Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization, and compliance with safety and operational protocols.

Order, track, and restock laboratory supplies to ensure uninterrupted workflow.

Apply proper aseptic techniques during microbiological and biotechnology-related procedures.

Collaborate closely with laboratory technicians and scientists to complete assigned tasks efficiently.

Provide operational support to other laboratories as needed based on workload requirements.

Salary and Compensation
