Job Summary

Wellstar Columbia County Medical Office Building in Grovetown, Georgia is seeking a FT Registered Radiologic Technologist

The Registered Radiologic Technologist must be flexible with work hours to meet department needs.

Must be dependable, accountable and cooperative.

Assists with providing safe, age‑appropriate care to the patient by performing all exams provided by the department according to department procedures.

Has the knowledge and ability to properly and safely obtain a quality diagnostic study.

Responsible for performing various technical procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative in the utilization of equipment for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases.

Able to independently perform job functions.

Sets up the equipment to provide imaging service and positions patients for the procedure.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

Demonstrates sound knowledge in the performance of Diagnostic Imaging while adhering to department protocol and standards and applies the principles of ALARA to minimize exposure to patients, self and others.

Performs Diagnostic Imaging exams in a variety of settings. Evaluates images for technical quality, performs post processing of data and ensures proper Patient identification is recorded.

Provides optimal patient care and assumes responsibility for the patient's needs during their procedures and exemplifies the philosophy of Patient Family Centered care to all.

Applies the principles of patient safety during all aspects of patient care and identifies and responds to emergency situations in an appropriate manner. Strictly adheres to the principles of aseptic technique and hand washing policies.

Assists the Radiologist with procedures and protocols.

Other duties as assigned.

Performs other duties as assigned

Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.

Required Minimum Education:

Accredited Program Radiologic Technology

Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):

All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.

ARRT-R - ARRT Radiography

BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor or BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support

Required Minimum Skills:

Ability to operate Diagnostic Imaging equipment

Ability to communicate verbally and written

Possess excellent patient/customer service skills
