Assembly Technician (Mid Level)Assembly Technician (Mid Level) Indianapolis IN 46268 - 100% onsite Shift: M-F 8am to 5pm (flexible) Duration: 5 MonthsPlease consider the following notes: - Associate degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Technology or similar with 2 years of relevant experience (Electromechanical assembly - Soldering only is not applicable as relevant experience) - High School degree will only be considered with 5 years of relevant experience (assembling electromechanical devices and/or electrical components - Soldering is not considered relevant experience) - Have actual experience in the responsibilities listed - Ability or willingness to work in non-ergonomic working position (not usually - not more than 10% of the time) Contact Supplier Requirements: - Associate's degree (or equivalent experience) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Technology - 5 years of experience (flexible) assembling electromechanical devices and/or electrical components - Have actual experience in the responsibilities listed belowDescription: We are searching for a mechanical or electrical engineering technician to perform a wide variety of assembling, testing, and packaging tasks. The candidate will be responsible for completing several of the production-related tasks that enable our team to deliver these solutions to our customers in a timely manner. This position is contracted to run through the end of 2026. However, if the candidate performs well and shows a desire to grow their skillsets within the team, the opportunity may exist for the contract to be extended into 2027.Responsibilities: - Assembling and testing complex devices consisting of numerous mechanical and electrical components - Building cable harnesses and other electrical assemblies - Assembling complex kits using custom packaging - Working with engineers to help manage the inventory for several high-demand products - Assisting with packaging/skidding items for shipment to customer sites - Assisting with set-up and tear-down of large automation systemsKey Attributes for Success: - Focused urgency - Ability to self-prioritize multiple tasks - Organizational skills - Experience with precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, etc.) - Ability to read and follow a wiring schematic - Experience crimping connectors, soldering, drilling, and tappingWhy TalentBurst?
