Manufacturing EngineerWe are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Manufacturing Engineering team and provide day-to-day technical ownership within our production operations.This role is designed as an area-based, embedded engineering position, working directly alongside production employees, leads, and supervisors to ensure safe, efficient, and repeatable operations. While this position will initially support our Pick / Pack operations, all Embedded Manufacturing Engineers are cross-trained and expected to rotate between production areas as they become seasoned.This is not a desk-based or project-only role — it is a hands-on position focused on daily execution, process stability, and continuous improvement.Daily Production SupportProvide real-time engineering support to production teams to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and labor targets are metRespond quickly to process disruptions, flow issues, material constraints, and quality concernsSupport shift startups, staffing changes, and daily production prioritiesProcess Ownership & Standard WorkOwn and maintain standard work, labor standards, and visual controls for assigned areasImprove process flow, ergonomics, layout, and material presentationIdentify and eliminate waste, variation, and reworkQuality & Error PreventionPartner with QA to reduce errors, defects, and customer escapesImplement mistake-proofing, visual management, and verification methodsSupport root-cause analysis and corrective actionsContinuous Improvement & 6SLead CI efforts within assigned departments, including 6S and visual managementDrive small, fast improvements with operators and leadsSupport larger improvement initiatives under the guidance of the Senior Manufacturing EngineerCross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with Production Supervisors and Leads on daily executionPartner with Maintenance on equipment reliability and uptime improvementsCoordinate with Supply Chain, EHSS, Facilities, and QA as neededWhat Success Looks LikeStable, predictable production flow in assigned areasImproved throughput, labor efficiency, and schedule adherenceReduced errors, scrap, and reworkClear, usable standard work and visual controlsStrong trust and partnership with production teamsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)Minimum of 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, production engineering, or operations supportHands-on experience in high-volume or fulfillment-style operations preferredWorking knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement toolsComfortable working directly on the production floor in a fast-paced environmentBilingual English/Spanish strongly preferredSkills & Attributes We're Looking ForStrong practical problem-solving skillsOwnership mindset with a bias toward actionAble to balance daily production support with longer-term improvementsCollaborative and effective without formal authorityInterested in learning multiple production environments over timeAdditional InformationFortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $90,000 USD - $105,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location.
