Job Description

Executive DirectorLead the community. Develop the team. Elevate the resident experience.We're looking for an experienced Executive Director to lead the overall performance of our senior living community, bringing together people, operations, financial stewardship, occupancy growth, and exceptional resident service.As Executive Director, you'll serve as the senior leader of the community, overseeing daily operations, department performance, financial results, staffing, resident satisfaction, sales, occupancy, and regulatory compliance.You'll lead department directors, establish clear expectations, and build a culture where employees feel supported, residents and families feel connected, and the community consistently meets its operational and financial goals. This role reports to the Regional Director of Operations and partners closely with regional and corporate leadership.What You'll OwnLead the overall operation and performance of the community, including resident services, sales, business operations, dining, programming, housekeeping, maintenance, and other service areasRecruit, develop, coach, and retain strong department leaders while creating clear expectations and accountability throughout the communityDevelop and manage the annual operating budget, monitor financial performance, and ensure timely and accurate reportingPartner with sales and marketing leadership to strengthen referral relationships, increase occupancy, and achieve community revenue goalsBuild trusted relationships with residents and families while ensuring concerns are addressed promptly and professionallyMaintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, licensing requirements, company policies, and resident-rights standardsEnsure appropriate staffing levels, effective scheduling, and properly trained employees across all departmentsConduct regular leadership meetings, review department performance, identify operational concerns, and implement solutionsPromote a positive community presence through relationships with referral partners, healthcare providers, regulators, and local organizationsProtect confidential resident, employee, financial, and operational informationWhat Success Looks LikeThe community consistently meets its occupancy, revenue, expense, and operational performance goalsResidents and families receive responsive service and have confidence in the community's leadershipDepartment leaders understand expectations, communicate effectively, and take ownership of their resultsStaffing levels remain stable, employees are engaged, and turnover is addressed proactivelyRegulatory, licensing, safety, and company standards are maintained across every departmentThe community has a strong reputation with residents, families, referral partners, and the surrounding marketWho This Role Is ForHigh school diploma or equivalent required; an associate or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, nursing, hospitality, or a related field is preferredAt least three years of leadership or supervisory experience in senior living, assisted living, memory care, long-term care, healthcare, or a comparable service-based environmentPrevious Executive Director, Administrator, or multi-department operations leadership experience is strongly preferredDemonstrated experience leading department managers and large, cross-functional teamsStrong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, expense management, and operational reportingExperience supporting sales, marketing, referral development, and occupancy growthWorking knowledge of senior living regulations, licensing requirements, resident rights, and operational complianceCurrent Residential Care Administrator License or other administrator credential required by state regulationsLicensed Nursing Home Administrator credential if applicable to the community's licensing structureStrong communication, organization, decision-making, and problem-solving skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn operational, financial, and resident-management systemsWhat Sets You ApartYou're a visible, hands-on leader who builds trust with employees, residents, and familiesYou can balance resident experience, employee engagement, compliance, occupancy, and financial performanceYou create accountability while providing employees with the coaching and support needed to succeedYou understand that everyone in the community plays a role in resident satisfaction and occupancyYou remain calm, decisive, and solution-focused when managing complex operational or people challengesThis is an opportunity to lead every aspect of a senior living community and make a measurable impact on resident experience, team culture, occupancy, and financial performance.You'll have the support of regional and corporate leadership while guiding department leaders, strengthening community performance, and creating an environment where residents, families, and employees feel valued.
