Salesforce Developer

Salesforce DeveloperNextEra Energy is seeking a skilled and versatile Salesforce Developer to support our Commercial & Industrial (C&I) business unit. You will work closely with the development lead to prioritize and deliver on the most critical Salesforce initiatives, while also providing technical guidance to offshore teams and supporting production issues as needed. This role requires someone who is adaptable, collaborative, and comfortable operating across both development and support responsibilities.What You'll DoPartner with the development lead to align on priorities and deliver high-impact C&I initiativesDesign, develop, test, and deploy Salesforce solutions across the full development stackBuild and maintain integrations between Salesforce and internal/external systems using a variety of patterns and mechanismsProvide technical direction and guidance to offshore development teams, including code reviews, ticket clarification, and unblocking work across time zonesTriage, diagnose, and resolve Salesforce production issues with minimal business disruptionCollaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and administrators to translate requirements into scalable technical solutionsMaintain and enhance existing automation, configuration, and platform componentsUphold platform security, governance, and development best practices throughout the SDLCRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field6 years of hands-on Salesforce development experienceProficiency in Apex — including triggers, classes, batch, scheduled, queueable, and future jobsExperience building UI solutions using Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura Components, and Visualforce pages, components, and controllersAbility to generate PDFs within Salesforce using Visualforce-based rendering or third-party document generation toolsExperience with inbound REST APIs via @RestResource annotated Apex classes, outbound REST callouts using HttpRequest/HttpResponse, inbound SOAP web services via the webservice keyword, and outbound SOAP callouts via WSDL-generated proxy classesFamiliarity with event-driven integration patterns including Platform Events, Change Data Capture (CDC), and Outbound MessagesExperience with Named Credentials, Auth Providers, and External Services for secure and declarative integrationsHands-on experience with middleware or ETL platforms such as MuleSoft or equivalentProficiency in Salesforce configuration including custom objects, fields, relationships, Custom Metadata Types, Custom Settings, and Custom LabelsExperience creating and managing Email Templates in both Classic (text, HTML, Visualforce) and Lightning (Enhanced Letterhead, Lightning HTML) formatsAbility to build Reports, Dashboards, and custom Report TypesStrong understanding of Salesforce security model including Permission Sets, Permission Set Groups, Profiles, user management, role hierarchy, and sharing rulesExperience with Flow — including Screen, Auto-launched, Record-triggered, and Scheduled Flows — as well as validation rules, formula fields, and roll-up summary fieldsFamiliarity with deployment tools including Change Sets, Salesforce DX, and Metadata APIStrong understanding of the Salesforce data model and governor limitsAbility to take direction from a lead and self-manage delivery against shifting prioritiesDemonstrated ability to work effectively with offshore teams, including ticket guidance, code reviews, and asynchronous collaborationComfortable switching between development and production support responsibilities as business needs evolveHands-on experience with GitHub for version control, branching strategies, pull requests, and collaborative code managementSalesforce Platform Developer I certification (or higher)Preferred QualificationsExperience with Vlocity CLM (Contract Lifecycle Management) and Vlocity Product ConsoleHands-on experience with OmniStudio OmniScripts, Integration Procedures, and DataRaptorsFamiliarity with Vlocity Templates and Document TemplatesExperience with Salesforce Energy & Utility CloudBusiness knowledge of the electric industry, including C&I customer segments, rate structures, energy contracting, and utility operationsPrior experience in a hybrid onshore/offshore delivery modelFamiliarity with DevOps tooling such as Salesforce DX, Git, etc.Salesforce Platform Developer II, OmniStudio Developer, or Administrator certificationMindlance is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate in employment on the basis of – Minority/Gender/Disability/Religion/LGBTQI/Age/Veterans.
