Requisition ID: 13593ERP Eligible?: YesERP amount: $50 LMRecognitionRelocation: PossibleType: ExemptShift: 1Clearance Prior to Start: NoneFinal Clearance: SecretPay Transparency: $79,300.00 - $147,300.00Experience Level: Experienced ProfessionalFT/PT/Casual: FullTimeDepartment: SpaceBusiness Unit: SpaceStandard Job DescriptionBeing a valued member of the Mechanisms Engineering organization, your responsibilities may include some of the following:Work under the direction of other engineers to research, design, analyze, and develop innovative components, assemblies, and/or systems of varying complexity while assuring sound technical rigor and timely delivery.Develop, review, and maintain engineering documents, specifications, and technical analyses, including 3D solid models and 2D drawings.Be a member of integrated product teams, reciprocally interacting with other engineers, adjacent functions, suppliers, and stakeholders, to support products through the entire engineering lifecycle.Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, and test personnel to support the build and validation of hardware in a production environment.Occasional travel.The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience with 3D CAD Modeling, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), have good communication skills (both oral and written), and applied experience with fundamental Mechanical Engineering principles. Ability to obtain a security clearance; US citizenship required.Researches, plans, designs and develops mechanical products and systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines and mechanical, thermal hydraulic or heat transfer systems for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy. Applies research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines.Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education with commensurate years of professional experience.Experience with solid model and drawing creation using 3D computer-aided design software, specification development, vendor interface, parts selection, and/or configuration control.Understanding and ability to apply basic Mechanical Engineering principles, theories, and concepts.Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment using good verbal and written communication skills.Ability to obtain a security clearance; US citizenship is required.Desired SkillsKnowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing in accordance with ASME Y14.5.Fundamental understanding of structures, mechanisms, and materials.Prior experience with the design and/or test of mechanical systems.Active security clearance.Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practicePay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $ - $ At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
