Job Description

Python DeveloperLocation: Alpharetta GA / Hybrid Duration: 12 months Contract with possibility of extension or contract to hire. Payrate range: $60-$65/hrDescription:The mission of the group is to implement the organization's Data Cybersecurity Strategy by architecting, engineering, deploying, and operating technical data security controls and capabilities for the Enterprise. This is achieved by continued focus on architectural rigor, automation, Agile delivery, and adoption of Data Protection Services' control implementations by our users and partners. The Data Protection Services (DPS) team designs, engineers and operates solutions that secure data at rest and in transit, escalating inappropriate usage of the organization's data to incident responders. This Python Developer position is with the Data Protection Development Squad. We work on building APIs that leverage vendor SaaS solutions and are used for data protection. This includes building microservices and applications needed by other teams for functions such as scanning automation, masking, policy controls, scheduling and authentication management.What Will You Be Doing?You will onboard new and maintain existing API microservices to support business needs and integrate with the tech ecosystem focused on sensitive data detection across all structured and unstructured data to mitigate organizational risk, with Just-in-time access and minimal system owner involvement, while ensuring that scan results are available to downstream systems.You will work with the Data Protection Development squad supporting Development & Operational tasks involved in data security services, ranging from service delivery, task automation, DevOps tasks and supporting an on-call rota.You will support the continuous improvement of our services through the development of automation scripting and effective observability solutions.Across the Data Protection Development squad and stakeholder groups, you will participate in design and code reviews.You will participate in the agile structure and norms of the team.You will deliver knowledge sharing across our global Data Protection squads & chapters, providing documentation, presentations, and internal postings.You Will Have The Opportunity To:Extend your technical knowledge with challenging engineering projects and the use of new technologies in areas like cloud data governance.Learn more about the Financial Industry through various business stakeholders and industry activities and events.Work in an open environment where everyone can express their views and make significant contributions.What We're Looking For:Development: Python, FastAPI, Beanie DevOps: Git, Jenkins, Test Automation OS: Linux (in-depth), Windows Agile: Jira Database: MongoDB Networking: Troubleshooting and debugging Security Practices: Knowledge of critical cyber security controls AI Software Development Lifecycle (AI SDLC): Working knowledge of the secure and governed use of artificial intelligence across requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement, including appropriate human oversight.Would Be Nice:Development: Data analytics, Java, Spring Boot, One of (ReactJS, AngularJS)Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, KafkaSRE: Flux, Grafana, LokiProducts: BigID, VaronisSecurity: SnykProfessional Skills:Experience working within Agile teamsExperience with building and scaling APIs in a microservice environmentKnowledge of IT Service Management (ITIL)Ability to quickly learn and understand proprietary technologies in a complex, regulated environmentSelf-starter with proven & demonstratable experience in technical & application support of enterprise systemsExcellent verbal and written communication skills coupled with a collaborative approachAn automation/orchestration mind-set, enabling the product squads to spend more time coding and less time on manual processesAttributes:Passionate around automation, development and problem solvingBeing comfortable with frequent, incremental code testing and deploymentTake a hands-on approach to implementing work from requirements, prototyping and design, to build, automation to deployment and operations.Own the quality and timeliness of deliveryCommunicate key issues and progress updates in a regular, accurate, timely fashionWhere Will You Be Working?This role is based at our Alpharetta, GA, USA office.
