Bindery Operator

Bindery AssistantWe are seeking an experienced Bindery Assistant to support production in a fast-paced printing and manufacturing environment. This role involves operating bindery equipment, maintaining workflow, and ensuring quality standards are met across production and fulfillment processes.Key ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret work orders/job tickets for setup and production instructionsOperate and maintain bindery equipment, including: Cutter machines (Polar, Seybold)MBO Folder machinesShrink-wrap equipmentInserter machinesPerform machine setup, adjustments, and troubleshootingFollow startup, cleaning, and shutdown proceduresMaintain workflow to meet production deadlinesTrack and report daily production and material usageCommunicate equipment or order issues to leadershipSupport related departments including personalization, fulfillment, and shippingFollow all quality control (QC) and safety proceduresQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required3–5 years of bindery or print production experience requiredStrong mechanical aptitude (testing may be required)Basic computer and data entry skillsIntermediate math skillsStrong attention to detail, reliability, and time managementAbility to pass a color vision testMust be able to work overtime as neededEQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER: Surge is an equal opportunity employer.
