We hope that you'll be interested in joining us!The RoleWe are looking for a team member who is excited to do everything involved in shipping great products, including hands-on engineering, talking with customers, and mastering the climate domain. Your past experience should include a track record of building things that users love.Watershed's technical stack is the web frontend that our customers use, together with a backend of climate data, climate models, and plug-ins to various financial systems. We build new products in a customer-first way so you'll be working quite a bit in React, TypeScript, CSS, Node.js, etc. There's no need to be a prior expert in our stack — it's more important that you're good at picking up technologies quickly.Some traits that are important to our company culture: customer-obsessed, outcome-oriented, and inclusive. And we're looking for owners, so we hope you'll help us evolve this list.What You Could Work On:Build new interactive data visualizations to help climate leads understand their company's emissions.Build APIs to unify carbon data access for customers and other engineers.Build tools that help financial institutions measure and report emissions across their portfolio companies.Build tools for customers to effectively ingest and interpret business data.You Will:Ship code to production on day oneCollaborate with product, design, climate science, and data science to build and iterate on software that helps our customers understand their climate dataYou Might Be A Fit If You:Have 4+ years of software engineering industry experience, preferably in Node.js web development or data pipelinesHave experience building scalable software starting from user needsAre excited to join a startup and are ready to help evolve a growing engineering teamMust be willing to work from an office 4 days per week (except for remote roles)Watershed has hub offices in San Francisco, New York, London, and Mexico City and satellite offices in Denver, Sydney, Paris, and Berlin. Where we have offices, employees are expected to be in office for 4 days per week.
