Java Developer

Role: Java developer Location: Berkley Height, NJ Job Type: Contract Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Java Developer to join our development team in Berkley Height , NJ . The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Java development, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and database technologies. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable enterprise applications. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using Java and Spring Boot . Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices . Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code following industry best practices. Work with relational databases and develop complex SQL queries . Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization. Collaborate with business analysts, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and other developers. Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions. Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute throughout the software development lifecycle. Develop unit and integration tests to ensure application quality. Work with Git and CI/CD pipelines for application deployment. Required Skills Strong hands-on experience with Java 8+ . Strong experience with Spring Boot / Spring Framework . Experience developing REST APIs and Microservices . Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases . Experience with Git and CI/CD environments. Good understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and software development lifecycle. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Preferred Skills Experience with AWS or Azure . Experience with Kafka or other messaging platforms . Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes . Experience with React, Angular, or other front-end technologies is a plus. Experience with JUnit, Mockito, or other testing frameworks.
