Testing & Quality Systems

Help build out a testing ecosystem for development systems, including automated testing approaches for catching errors and validating performance under load Bring a quality mindset to changes and deployments — thinking about how something could fail before it does, not just reacting when it does

Automation & Reliability

Build and maintain automation to reduce manual work and improve consistency across environments Contribute to CI/CD and deployment workflows, and help streamline how changes get shipped safely Monitor system health and proactively address issues before they become incidents

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work directly with developers, architects, and other infrastructure teams as a hands-on partner, not just a ticket queue Translate operational needs into practical solutions, documenting standards and repeatable processes along the way Support cloud-based infrastructure alongside on-prem systems as the environment evolves

Security & Stability

Apply sound security and hardening practices as part of day-to-day operations Support messaging, data, and integration services that other systems depend on

Qualifications

Working familiarity with Linux administration, paired with broader infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering experience Track record of designing, standardizing, or migrating systems and processes rather than executing existing runbooks or procedures Exposure to web applications and the teams that build them, including direct collaboration with developers supporting a live application Experience building or contributing to automated testing (load testing, error/regression detection, CI/CD test integration) is a strong plus Comfortable working across infrastructure, cloud, and application-adjacent responsibilities Reasons through unfamiliar or ambiguous issues rather than defaulting to established process or template Strong communicator who can work directly with both infrastructure and development teams
