Job Description Job Description Operator I – Medical Device Manufacturing

St. Paul, MN | Onsite

6:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 4:00 AM – 2:30 PM | 40 hrs/week

12 months contract (subject to extension or conversion to permanent)

Job Summary:

Seeking an Operator I to support the production of high-quality medical devices within a manufacturing cell. Under supervision, this role performs assembly, repair, testing, and documentation activities for pacemakers, ICDs, leads, and related medical device components.

Key Responsibilities:

Assemble, repair, and test medical device components following standardized procedures.

Maintain accurate production, traveler, and quality documentation to ensure part traceability.

Follow safety, quality, QMS, EMS, and regulatory requirements.

Read and follow written procedures and verbal instructions.

Use electronic data collection systems and computer software.

Handle and maneuver small components and parts with precision.

Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

Communicate production issues, ideas, and solutions clearly with manufacturing leadership.

Prioritize tasks based on timing, importance, and production requirements.

Maintain a positive and professional attitude with internal and external customers.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Ability to follow detailed procedures and instructions.

Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.

Ability to work with small components and perform hands-on manufacturing tasks.

Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing preferred.

Previous manufacturing, assembly, medical device, or production experience is a plus.
