Job Title: Continuity analyst
Location: Alexandria, VA
Summary: This program supports a centralized operations center that serves as the primary information and coordination hub for customers nationwide. The center maintains continuous situational awareness of operational activities, incidents, significant events, and natural disasters affecting customer facilities and operations. It integrates information from regional operations, dispatch centers, partner agencies, intelligence units, and proprietary systems to produce consolidated reports, briefings, bulletins, and presentations for senior leadership and stakeholders. The program also supports virtual emergency operations centers for national-level activities and provides surge capabilities for incident management teams during field deployments.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain Continuity of Operations Planning (COOP) strategies, plans, and procedures and should ensure that the Continuity of Operations Planning (COOP) plan is continually updated and aligned with changes in the organization's mission, operational requirements, and current threats
Outline how the organization will respond to and recover from various disruptions while ensuring that the critical functions of the agency remain operational
Identify vulnerabilities, assess potential impacts, and create strategies for responding to and recovering from various emergencies
Coordinate to reconcile deployment rosters and personnel status for continued accountability and reporting requirements
Develop scenarios and exercises to test the Continuity of Operations Planning (COOP) plan and should ensure its effectiveness
Communicate with various stakeholders, including internal departments and external agencies, to ensure buy-in and collaboration on Continuity of Operations Planning (COOP) planning
Conduct office equipment care, end-user maintenance, inventory management, and readiness preparation for Continuity of Operations Planning (COOP) deployment
Conduct analyses of regional-level readiness and capabilities for deployment
Review and analyze situation reports, resource tracking data, and deployment rosters
Conduct Business Impact Analysis (BIA) to assess the potential impact of various disruptions on the organization's critical functions and operations
Conduct Disaster Recovery Planning focusing on the restoration of Information Technology (IT) systems and infrastructure after a possible network service interruption
Requirements:
The candidate must possess a Secret security clearance
Must have five years of relevant experience in data analysis or related work, familiarity with continuity of operations planning, disaster recovery scheduling, and risk analysis
Must possess a Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (BS), Master of Arts (MA), or Master of Science (MS) degree
