Sr Network Engineer (contract)

Job TitleMust be United States Citizen, and Pay depends on level of experience, education, whether possess Active DOD Clearance, what certifications achieved (e.g. Security+, CCNE) and extent of experience in the "pluses" with STIGs, HAIPE/TACLANE, COMSEC/CRYPTO equipment, Tactical/military Common Data Link (CDL) and ANW2, (MIL) SATCOM equipment, etc.REQUIRED:Bachelor of Science in STEM discipline with 8 years of experience; OR 6 years of relevant experience with a Master (MS) degree; OR 12 years relevant network engineer experience if no degreeExperience with network design, architecture, specifications, and equipment selectionUnderstand IP4, IPv6 network design, incl. IP sub-netting & protocols BGP, OSPF, EIGRPUnderstand network device configuration and troubleshooting (ideally, Cisco IOS/IOS-XE)Understand advanced features like GRE, IPSEC, IP quality-of-service, VLANs, and multicastFamiliar with network management protocols, like SNMP, SSH, syslog, RADIUS/TACACSPREFERRED (NOT Required): Experience with ANY of the following is a "nice to have" but NOT required:DoD 8570 Security certification such as Sec+, CASP, CISSP, or equivalentCCNA/CCNP/CCIE or equivalentNetwork management apps: Splunk, Firepower Management Center (FMC), Cisco ISEExposure to the Risk Management Framework, security controls, STIGsWindows, Linux, and VMWare configuration and troubleshootingHAIPE/TACLANE and other military COMSEC/CRYPTO equipmentTactical/military radio networks, like Common Data Link (CDL) and ANW2(MIL) SATCOM equipment and servicesCisco Unified Communications / VoIP and VTCCisco Modelling Labs (CML) or Virtual Internet Routing Lab (VIRL)MS Office tools, including PowerPoint and VisioActive DOD Secret Clearance
