Position Summary
PTMA Financial Solutions is seeking an experienced, hands‑on Security Analyst to serve as a key contributor within our growing information security program. In this role, you will report directly to the Information Security Manager and work in close partnership with our IT team to detect, triage, and respond to security/IT incidents. We are looking for someone with practical experience in incident response and security operations – whether that experience comes from a security background, IT background, or combination of both. You will also play a key role in our security operations by identifying, monitoring, triaging, remediating security‑related events, supporting risk and vulnerability assessments, and communicating a strong security awareness culture across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Proactively monitor the environment to hunt, detect, triage, and respond to anomalous behavior and security events in alignment with incident response program playbooks
Identify vulnerabilities through scanning and assessments, prioritizing findings by risk, and tracking remediation through to closure
Identify and document operational security gaps and control inefficiencies, and opportunities in existing security processes and controls, and bring recommendations to the security team for improvement
Support cyber risk assessments by gathering information about technical controls and processes
Support security review of new vendor technologies for potential security risks & vulnerabilities
Collaborate closely with the IT team on incident coordination, escalation workflows, and operationalization of security controls.
Escalate high‑risk incidents or architectural concerns to the Information Security Manager for direction
Required Qualifications
Experience: 3-5 years of combined IT and/or cybersecurity experience, with meaningful hands‑on involvement in responding to incidents
Education: Bachelor's degree in information technology, cybersecurity, or equivalent combination of certificates & experience
Demonstrated ability to independently triage, investigate, and coordinate the resolution of incidents in a structured, methodical way
Working knowledge of security tools & platforms with experience investigating alerts
Experience with vulnerability management tools, endpoint protection platforms, SIEM/SOAR, and identity security tools preferred.
The Pay Range For This Role Is
90,000 - 105,000 USD per year (Colorado)
