Java Developer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Java Developer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role involves developing, enhancing, and maintaining complex software solutions for critical banking functions. The ideal candidate will code solutions and unit tests using Java, REST APIs, and SQL to meet functional, security, and compliance requirements within an integrated system design.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining complex software to support critical banking functions

Ensure that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, security, and compliance requirements

Code solutions, unit tests, and ensure the solution can be integrated successfully into the overall application/system with clear, robust and well-tested interfaces

Contribute to integrated system designs utilizing multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) and story refinement

Participate in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle

Perform research and proof of concepts as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas

Code solutions and unit tests to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements

Assist team with resolving technical complexities and triages of environmental roadblocks

Document and communicate required information for deployment, maintenance, support, and business functionality

Participate, contribute and can coach team members in with release (CI-CD) events e.g. branching timelines, pull requests, issue triage, merge/conflict resolution, release notes
