Salary Range: $44,000.00 To $45,000.00 Annually

PRIMARY FUNCTION/PURPOSE:

TheShift/SafetySupervisorisdirectlyresponsibleforthemanagementandsupervision ofthe SafetyMonitors ondutyontheir assigned shift.Monitors allactivitiestoensuresafety inthe physical plant and civility amongst clients, visitors and staff.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

SupervisesSafetyMonitorsandensuresallsafetyandsecuritydutiesareperformed as per agency protocol.

Conductsfiredrillsanddocumentsresults.

RespondstoincidentsandfollowsDHSandagencyprotocolsinrespondingtoand documenting incidents.

ReportsincidentsofChildAbusetothestateCentralRegistry.

InteractswithHEROandprovidesupdatesonunitvacanciesandoccupancies.Accepts referrals and conducts initial intake ofnew families upon arrival tothefacility.

Answerfacilityphoneanddirectscalls.

EnsuresthatSafetyMonitorsconductpatrolsandaremonitoringtheCCTVcamera system and are reporting and documenting observations.

AssistsSafetyMonitors inensuringthatclientsfollowshelterruleswhileinthefacility.

TrainsSafetyMonitorsinsecuritymeasuresandrecommendschangesin procedures/equipment to the Manager of Building Operations.

Otherdutiesasassigned.

ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct dailyauditofboth theSafetyMonitor's DeskLog,andtheSupervisor's Desk Log for accuracy and content.

Prepares/conductsEmployeeAppraisalEvaluationsinatimelyandthoroughmanner.

PreparesandauditsIncident/AccidentReports.

Maintainandschedulevansdailyusage.

CompletesendofshiftreportsandemailsreporttoManagerofOperations, theProgram Director and DSS/Asst. Director.

CompletesendofshiftreportsandemailsreporttoManagerofOperations, theProgram Director and DSS/Asst. Director.

Overseeandsupervise department staffintheutilization oftheDHSClient Assistance andRe-housingSystem(CARES)SystemregardingIntakeCheck-In,IncidentReports, and Facility Bed Management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

MustpossessSecuritylicense.

MustpossessanF80.

MustpossesscurrentCPRcertification.

NYS Driver'slicense required.

Two(2)yearsofSupervisory experienceincommercial/residentialsecurityorlaw enforcement, orFive(5)years' experience asaPrivate/PersonalSecurity Officer.

Mustgavegoodcommunicationskills,experienceworkingwithwomenandchildren.

Exhibitsuperiorprofessionalismatalltimes,evenwhenunderpressureorexperiencing challenges with the clients.

Mustsuccessfullycompletebackgroundinvestigation.
