Job Description

Full-Stack DeveloperThe Full-Stack Developer will specialize in the Rock RMS platform to lead the technical management and customization of the church management system. He or she will not just be a coder, but a problem-solver who can translate ministry needs into technical solutions that improve the experience for the staff and congregation. He or she will seek to perform all duties as unto the Lord, relying on the Holy Spirit for guidance, and completing all tasks with excellence.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in computer science or IT related field required3–5 years of experience developing, testing, and deploying scalable full-stack applications in a collaborative development environmentExperience with on-premise hosting and management (Proxmox/virtualization, CEPH, virtual routing/switching) preferredExperience with REST APIs preferredNone requiredKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesStrong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present ideas and solutions in user-friendly languageExcellent customer service skillsAble to multitaskProven ability to manage high priority projects and work independentlyAdept at reading, writing, and interpreting technical documentation and procedure manualsTechnologiesProficient in C# and the.NET frameworkStrong expertise in Microsoft SQL ServerSolid understanding of front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScriptExperience with Git version controlPhysical CapabilitiesAble to sit for prolonged periods of time in front of a computerPersonal CharacteristicsExhibits patienceMaintains a high degree of integrity and confidentiality in all aspects of the jobDemonstrates a teachable spiritCompletes tasks in a timely mannerEffective and tactful in communicating needs and concerns with manager and othersWork HoursAble to work a flexible 40 hour work week scheduleJob Functions and TasksEssential FunctionsCustom Development: Design, develop, and maintain custom Rock RMS blocks, attributes, and plugins using C# and .NETDatabase Management: Write and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures to ensure data integrity and high-performance reportingWorkflow Automation: Build and refine advanced Rock workflows to automate administrative tasks and enhance member engagementIntegration: Manage and develop API integrations between Rock RMS and third-party software (e.g., payment processors, communication tools, or accounting software)UI/UX Optimization: Customize the look and feel of the Rock interface and external-facing portals using HTML, CSS, and JavaScriptJob Context: Seated desk workJob Status: Full-time, Exempt
