Vinson is a leading distributor of industrial process control, pressure protection, control systems, and services in the southwest region of the US including North, East, West Texas, Oklahoma, Western Arkansas, and New Mexico. The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring the safe, efficient, and accurate receipt, storage, handling, and shipment of materials. This role provides direct leadership to warehouse personnel and works closely with Operations, Customer Service, Production, and Business Unit teams to support customer commitments and operational objectives. This role is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, driving on-time delivery, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and fostering a positive, team-oriented work environment. This position serves as a frontline leader, coaching employees, coordinating daily priorities, and fostering continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational performance and customer satisfaction. The Warehouse Supervisor ensures all warehouse activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company policies and procedures. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily shipping, receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and material handling activities.
• Coordinate workflow and daily priorities for warehouse personnel to support customer commitments and On-Time Delivery goals and Warehouse KPIs
• Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and efficiency.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle count programs, process discipline, and physical inventory activities.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure inventory transactions are completed accurately in ERP systems.
• Monitor warehouse storage locations and optimize material flow.
• Lead, coach, and develop direct reports.
• Monitor attendance and employee performance.
• Train, and ensure compliance with Warehouse, Inventory Management, and Safety Policies and Procedures
• Communicate with cross-functional teams including Operations, HSE, Human Resources, Sales, and Accounting
• Crosstrain team members to ensure operational flexibility.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and employee development activities.
• Conduct routine safety observations and discussions.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and safe material handling practices.
• Assist with incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency, organization, and productivity.
• Monitor warehouse KPIs and operational metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Support process improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality, inventory accuracy, and customer service.
• Manage facility maintenance and project including inspections, cleaning services, and related contracts
• Support vendor relationships for warehouse-related services and inspections.
• Maintain warehouse equipment and ensure operational readiness.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for facility alarms.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate's degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
• 3 to 5 years of warehouse, distribution, operations, or logistics experience.
• 1 to 3 years of supervisory or team lead experience.
• Experience leading shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material handling functions.
• Experience working in a warehouse environment that supports assembly or production activities preferred.
• Forklift Certification.
• OSHA or warehouse safety training.
• Proficiency with ERP/WMS systems and Microsoft Office preferred
• Shipping software experience (UPS/FedEx systems preferred)
• Ability to problem solve, stay positive, and have a customer-focused mindset
• Ability to lead, coach, train, and develop direct reports

Physical and Mental:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment.
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
• Ability and willingness to wear required PPE.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally, and in writing, in English. Spanish is a plus
