Network Architect (Juniper and Cisco)Duration: 6–8 month contract, with strong potential for extension Location: Washington, D.C. metropolitan area strongly preferred; remote candidates may be considered Schedule: Full-time Clearance/Access: Must be eligible to obtain a VA Red Badge for facility access Compensation range: hourly $92 - $100/hourWe are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect / Network Architect with strong expertise in both Juniper and Cisco environments to support a large-scale network architecture engagement.The consultant will be responsible for helping design and implement a network architecture spanning a Juniper core and Cisco edge environment while working closely with the Cisco CX team throughout the engagement.This is a highly technical consulting role. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record leading complex enterprise network deployments and the ability to work effectively with both the client and technology teams while maintaining an objective, consultative approach.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement enterprise network architecture spanning Juniper core and Cisco edge environmentsLead and support large-scale network architecture and deployment initiativesWork closely with the Cisco CX teamEvaluate existing network environments and develop scalable architecture solutionsProvide technical guidance across Juniper and Cisco networking technologiesTranslate business and technical requirements into practical network architecture and implementation plansSupport network design, integration, migration, and implementation activitiesTroubleshoot complex architecture and interoperability issues across multi-vendor environmentsCollaborate with client stakeholders, engineers, architects, and technology partnersProvide clear technical recommendations and documentationAct as a trusted, impartial consultant focused on the client's technical requirements and overall solution architectureRequired QualificationsStrong enterprise network architecture and engineering backgroundProven hands-on experience with Juniper and Cisco networking technologiesExperience designing and implementing large-scale Juniper and Cisco network environmentsStrong understanding of multi-vendor enterprise network architecturesDemonstrated experience leading complex network deployments or transformation initiativesAbility to work effectively with highly technical client teamsStrong consulting and stakeholder-management skillsAbility to evaluate competing technical requirements and develop objective solutionsExcellent communication and technical documentation skillsAbility to work independently while collaborating with multiple technical teamsMust be eligible to obtain a VA Red Badge for facility accessIdeal CandidateCandidates should be able to demonstrate previous success leading or supporting large-scale enterprise Juniper and Cisco deployments, navigating complex stakeholder environments, and delivering practical architecture solutions.System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
