Software Integration Engineer

W2 Contract Onsite in Hagerstown, MD Software Integration Engineer 40-43/HR Experience: C# MUST ASP.NET, SQL server, website development are a plus Key Responsibilities Use test automation software to create and implement test procedures. Provide support and maintenance for laboratory databases. Integrate a variety of smart hardware using multiple communication protocols within a heavy-duty engine dynamometer testing environment. Design and develop user interfaces to support test cell operations. Diagnose and resolve software and hardware problems encountered in engine development test cells. Identify, prioritize, and document issues using established troubleshooting methodologies to achieve and verify effective solutions. Develop C# test scripts, tools, and applications outside of the test environment to improve testing processes, data quality, and data reduction. Operate PC-based testing equipment, including Vision, CANalyzer, and Kvaser CAN, to perform testing required for evaluating engine software and hardware performance. Utilize manufacturer APIs to take advantage of equipment capabilities and develop customized tools for use within the PE Laboratory. Create, maintain, and improve test cell automation protocols for both performance and durability testing. Develop and maintain SQL databases and user interfaces using ASP.NET MVC. Position Requirements Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline is required; a Master’s degree is preferred. Working knowledge of Git and Git command-line tools. Strong proficiency in programming languages and communication protocols. Experience with data analysis and data reduction. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Basic project management knowledge and skills.
