Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Embedded Software Engineer to design and implement ISO 26262-compliant software for distributed embedded systems with multiple microcontrollers/ECU's. In this role, you will develop scalable and reusable software architectures for time-critical and safety-critical applications, ensuring compliance with functional safety standards. The position involves creating efficient real-time software components, optimizing system performance, and collaborating across teams to validate and integrate solutions.

Your responsibilities will include defining and implementing system-level requirements for power, compute, and communication while profiling and optimizing power, CPU, and bus usage. Additionally, you'll focus on hardware validation, labcar testing, and setting up automated frameworks for unit, Software-in-the-Loop (SIL), and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing.

Must-Have Qualifications: Automotive ECU firmware development experience.

Experience in embedded system design using C

Experience in low level debugging of firmware

Proficiency in developing software for both bare-metal and RTOS environments.

Familiarity with tools like JIRA and Confluence for tracking and documentation.

Solid understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals, including circuit analysis and design.

Highly Desired: Vehicle networking experience with T1S

Strong knowledge of ISO 26262 and functional safety requirements for embedded software.

Familiarity with Commercial Compilers such as GreenHills

Familiarity with Commercial RTOS such as u-velOSity and VX-Works.

Experience in driver development and integrating software with RTOS environments.

Experience with hardware debugging and verification at bench and HIL levels.

Familiarity with software build tools like Bazel and CMake.

Proficiency in Python or similar scripting languages for test automation.

Hands-on experience with hardware bring-up, system debugging, and PCB analysis tools.

Strong grasp of software design principles for maintainability and optimization.

Expertise in power management, low-power modes, and system-level performance profiling.

Collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills to work across multidisciplinary teams.
