Job Overview

Ascentec Engineering is hiring a Technical Project Manager to join our team. We are a rapidly growing company specializing in manufacturing high-quality products for our world-class customers. This position is on-site (not remote/not hybrid) and not eligible for visa sponsorship or transfer of visa sponsorship.

Job Responsibilities

Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of technical projects, ensuring they meet established timeframes, specifications, and budgets.

Develop product configurations and methods utilizing Epicor ERP system.

Manage project risks, including timely identification, assessment, and mitigation strategies.

Coordinate and lead project meetings to ensure clear communication of project statuses, milestones, and expectations across all stakeholders.

Implement project management best practices using tools like MS Project or similar to track progress and manage resources.

Facilitate collaboration across functional teams to ensure alignment and efficient execution of project objectives.

Manage the scope of projects, including overseeing the change request process and ensuring any changes are documented, approved, and implemented effectively.

Job Qualifications / Experience and Technical Skills

Educational background: Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or a related technical field.

Certifications: Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) preferred.

Minimum of 3 years of project management experience in manufacturing of physical technical products.

Proven track record of managing projects with cross‑functional teams in a manufacturing environment.

Experience with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana).

Strong technical acumen, able to understand and interpret technical specifications and requirements.

Knowledge of ERP systems and their application in project management; Epicor preferred.

Familiarity with agile and traditional project management methodologies.

Ability to analyze drawings, design models, and sketches to determine dimensions and configuration related to shop processes, customer specifications, and machine capabilities.

Strong communication and negotiation skills, capable of working constructively with all stakeholders, including team members, management, and external partners.

Working Conditions

Typical day involves time spent in the office and on the production floor.

May regularly walk, bend, and lift up to 10 pounds.

Noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual salary $80,000 to $110,000, based on experience.
