Job Description

At Advantech USA, the Supervisor, Warehouse plays a vital role in keeping our operations running smoothly and efficiently. This position is responsible for overseeing the flow of all incoming and outgoing materials, ensuring accuracy through our bar code system, and upholding warehouse standards. Beyond day-to-day operations, the Supervisor, Warehouse provides leadership, coaching, and training to team members and new hires, helping to build a safe, productive, and collaborative work environment. Reporting directly to the Associate Director, Warehouse this role is key to supporting Advantech’s commitment to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure warehouse operational standards are met by implementing effective action plans, strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Oversee and coordinate all inventory activities, including annual and semi-annual physical counts, customer consignment projects, and reconciliation efforts in collaboration with Inventory Leads, Accounting, and external auditors.
  • Supervise the distribution, processing, and storage of pallets, boxes, and materials in accordance with FIFO practices.
  • Maintain organized inventory to maximize available space for incoming shipments.
  • Oversee accurate data entry, corrections, and reporting in SAP, WMS, and CTOS systems; resolve issues and discrepancies as needed.
  • Develop, analyze, and review reports on shipments and material flow to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Manage customer and sales order picks, resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Provide leadership, training, and development to warehouse employees, including forklift operation certification.
  • Prepare and maintain warehouse Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports.
  • Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5–7 years of related warehouse experience in material handling, shipping/receiving, distribution, and/or operations.
  • Prior supervisory or lead experience in a warehouse environment required.
  • Proven experience in inventory control management.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree (A.A./A.S.) preferred.
  • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operational policies and procedures.
  • Current forklift certification required, with the ability to train and certify employees in forklift operation.
  • Ability to manage and complete multiple projects effectively.
  • Strong leadership, initiative, and project management skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation abilities.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with warehouse automation systems such as ASRS (Automated Storage & Retrieval System), AMR (Autonomous Mobile Robots), or goods-to-person solutions.
  • Hands‑on experience in process improvement, Lean, or Six Sigma methodology.
  • Exposure to digital transformation projects (e.g., paperless warehouse, system integration).
  • Familiarity with auto dimensioning and labeling systems or cross‑dock operations.
