Overview of Responsibilities

This role is designed for individuals looking to become aJourneyman Machinist. You will be enrolled in theNTMA Journeyman programand receive hands‑on training in our machine shop, including setting up and operatingCNC equipmentto manufacture metal and non‑metal parts used in KJLC products.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic machining operations on aCNC millingmachine andhave the ability toread and understand G-code
• Basic knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerance
• Follow instructions both verbal and written
• Produce quality partsin a timely manner
• Follow KJLC shop safety standards.
• Work with Machinists, Project Managers and Engineers to solve problems and improve processes
• Proper use of cranes for overhead lifting
• Ensuretimelycompliance with Company workplace policies and procedures, including human resource policies and safety
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required

• Basic mathematical skills
• The ability to lift 60lbs
• Able to read and understand measuring devices
• Ability to understand blueprints and shop drawings
• Ability to bend, stoop, squat, twist andlift upto and including 60lbs.unassisted.Assistancemust be used for any items over this weight. Assistance is alwaysrequiredfor anything weighing over 60lbs

Preferred

• 1 – 4 years of machining training in vocational high school program
