The role is responsible for guiding an agency whose mandate spans urban mobility, automated traffic enforcement, rideshare regulation, EV infrastructure, and airport operations, and which is a cornerstone of public safety and economic vitality.

With a workforce of over 1,000 employees and an operating budget of $351 million, the Executive Director serves as the organization’s chief executive and public face.

Reporting to a six-member Board of Directors, the Executive Director oversees all operations, stewards key government relationships, leads a diverse and unionized workforce, and drives the agency’s strategic vision forward.

The position emphasizes strong leadership, collaboration, and public-sector instincts, along with the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments while advancing priorities that support community impact.

The successful candidate will bring proven financial acumen, including experience managing multimillion-dollar budgets, as well as strong knowledge and understanding of Greater Philadelphia’s nuances and relationships.
