Custodian

Overview

As a Custodian at University Retirement, you’ll provide routine and spontaneous cleaning services for community common areas and support setup and take down of gathering spaces. You’ll get the chance to interact with our residents on a daily basis and ultimately feel like you’re making an impact on someone’s life every day!

What You'll Be Doing

• Set up and tear down resident and community events, including arranging tables, chairs, and audio/visual equipment.
• Clean and maintain assigned areas, including carpet shampooing, floor care, window washing, and trash removal.
• Operate floor care and cleaning equipment safely and according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Complete minor maintenance tasks and assist with general community upkeep as needed.
• Deliver outstanding customer service to residents and guests while following safety and emergency procedures.

Schedule: 4:00pm - 12:30am - Tuesday - Saturday

Compensation: $17.00 - $20.91 / hr DOE

About you:

• Minimum of 1 year's experience in custodial, cleaning, or a related field is preferred.
• Skills in operating custodial and cleaning equipment and tools.
• Knowledge of green cleaning solutions, chemicals, and pertinent cleaning supplies.
• Ability to read and understand labels.
